Classic Star Wars Games are now on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.



We have exciting news for all Star Wars gamers out there! Nintendo just released Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and Star Wars Episode I: Racer is soon to follow.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy's initial release was back in 2003 and Star Wars Episode I: Racer released back in 1999. Originally released in XBox and Pc Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was the final installment of the Jedi Knight video game series. This game allows players to customize their very own Jedi character, and even build their own lightsaber. The game also supports online multiplayer, which has been adapted to suit the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 Players.

 It will allow up to 16 players at a time in one of six multiplayer game modes. These modes include Siege, Capture the Flag, and Free for All. The game includes many familiar faces and locations from the Star Wars franchise. The game is available for purchase right now for $19.99 in the US.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer was released back in 1999 alongside the release of The Phantom Menace. Based on the epic podracing sequence from the movie, StarWars.com shared more information(listed below). Features include:

  • 25 playable racers including: Anakin Skywalker, Sebulba, and Ratts Tyerell
  • Race tracks spanning 8 unique worlds including: Tatooine, Baroonda, and Malastare
  • Work with pit droids to upgrade your podracer for higher top speeds and acceleration
  • Discover short-cuts and secrets to master your lap times
  • Split-screen multiplayer (Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4) and LAN multiplayer (Nintendo Switch)
The game includes eight racing tracks including, Tatooine, Baroonda, and Malastare. Both systems support split-screen multiplayer, additionally the Nintendo Switch offers LAN multiplayer as well. The game originally was received with mixed reactions, mostly being positive at its release. We are sure classic Nintendo 64 owners will have nostalgic feelings for it now.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer will be flying onto shelfs May 12, 2020.
