Today, Disney's new CEO Bob Chapek spoke with CNBC and confirmed that season two of the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian on Disney+ is still in production and will not be delayed due to the novel corona virus, otherwise known as "COVID-19". According to Chapek, only films and series that were in the middle of filming when the crisis arose are being affected by the current lockdown. "Mandalorian was shot before [COVID-19] really hit," Chapek explains. "And so we've been in post-production and there will no delay on Mandalorian."

Disney+ has been a hotspot for Star Wars content recently with finale episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars debuting on the service, as well as the newly launched Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian docuseries which goes behind the scenes of Mando's first season.
