Ahsoka Tano started out as a rather annoying character in The Clone Wars, before progressing to one of the most likable and most popular characters in the Star Wars universe. Her transition to live-action on season 2 of The Mandalorian has been epically anticipated, and with episode 5, "Chapter 13: The Jedi," we've finally been treated to Ahsoka's debut live action appearance. An excellent episode in its own right, one of the main highlights was, of course, Ahsoka, played excellently by Rosario Dawson. The Child's real name was also revealed. Both Ahsoka Tano's dual lightsabers and The Child's real name have now been released on some stunning new posters.
The new posters featuring Ahsoka Tano and Grogu are available for purchase through Trends International, alongside other posters displaying Din Djarin, Cara Dune, Greef Karga, and Cobb Vanth. You can check out the new posters below.
Ahsoka Tano and Grogu both have
connections to the Force, and therefore have an innate mutual bond
between them. Their ability to communicate without speaking finally
revealed Grogu's name, much to the relief of many Star Wars fans.
Unlike certain other small, circular objects in a previous episode, Grogu didn't want this one to eat, but it did persuade him to use his Force abilities when Din Djarin offered it.
Rosario Dawson had been rumored to play the live-action role of Ahsoka Tano, and her performance in this role is nothing short of spectacular. Featuring her dual white-bladed lightsabers, her skill in battle was highlighted in the episode, culminating in her defeat of Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth, played by stuntwoman and martial artist Diana Lee Inosanto.
Lastly, Ahsoka Tano's amazing lightsabers are on full display in this poster:
So will Ahsoka Tano be featured in any further episodes of The Mandalorian? And perhaps more importantly, will she be starring in her own spinoff show, alongside another actor playing the role of Sabine Wren, in the search for Ezra Bridger? When Ezra disappeared during the Liberation of Lothal, Grand Admiral Thrawn also went missing. But if Ahsoka Tano is now searching for him in the case that he's returned from the Unknown Regions, does that mean the search for Ezra has happened, or has yet to happen? For those of us who are up to date with The Clone Wars and Rebels, this is a pretty interesting time. Regardless, I'm sure Rosario Dawson's spotlight as Ahsoka isn't a one-off, and hopefully she's interested in staying in the role for many years to come.
As for Grogu, now that he's apparently formed an attachment to Din Djarin, what will he choose to do should they arrive at the ancient Jedi temple on Tython? Ahsoka Tano's refusal to train him was because of this attachment, and that leaves the question: If Grogu does decide to become a Jedi, assuming he finds someone to train him, will he turn to the Dark Side? Having been brought up on Coruscant in the Jedi temple, does this mean he was destined to become a Jedi? Tython is a pretty interesting place for our dynamic duo to be headed to. It is believed by some that the temple on Tython is the Jedi Order's first temple and is also the location of the Martyrium of Frozen Tears, which has a Jedi Confessional made from solid Kyberite. Kyberite is the mineral from which comes Kyber crystals, otherwise known as lightsaber crystals. What implications will that have for our small, green friend?
